15 LHS students participated in the Regional Visual Arts Scholastic Event at Harker Heights High School with 18 works of art to be judged. 13 of the 15 students and 16 of 18 pieces earned gold medals at Regionals and advanced to the Area round.

In the Area judging Natalie Erler, Emma Erler, and Anne Barry earned gold medals and advanced to the State Visual Arts Scholastic Event contest.

Natalie Erler had two pieces qualify for state. This is the third consecutive year she has made it to State. Emma Erler and Barry each had one piece qualify for State.

The VASE State event will be held April 26-27 at San Marcos High School.
